Colbo is a multi-disciplinary store located in Lower East Side, NYC, offering a great selection of clothing, records, home goods, and coffee, as well as a space to host events. A responsive toolkit of shapes, logos, and typefaces mimic the concept of a playground and gathering place, resulting in a flexible visual identity that offers a large possibility for interaction. Moreover, we designed a monocase version of Syndicat Grotesk especially for the project to further emphasize the welcoming spirit of the space. The website landing page is an extension of the space encouraging visitors to play. The coffee cup is a “clin d’oeil” of NYC’s iconic Greek cup.
